Ingeniería Investigación y Tecnología, (Engineering Research and Technology) is a quarterly scientific journal (electronic and printed), peer-reviewed, double-blind, edited and funded by the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Its purpose is to publish research articles (in Spanish and in English) in the following scientific fields: a) Civil, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering; b) Energy, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computing and Telecommunications; c) Earth Sciences, Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum, Mining and Metallurgy Engineering; d) Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Biomedical Systems and Aerospace Engineering; e) Chemical, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering; f) Engineering education. The target audience of the journal is primarily the academic and research community of engineering worldwide. Case studies, book reviews, or conference proceedings are not accepted. The editor is responsible for the publication and will adhere to the journal's Code of Ethics. All manuscripts published by the journal – without exception – are open access and are distributed under the Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-Noncommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0 International) license.
